FLEX Alumni Programs

This website will connect you with the online applications, surveys, and reports for the many opportunities available to FLEX Alumni and selected other U.S. government exchange programs. Throughout the year, this may include:

  • FLEX Alumni Individual or Group Grants Program
  • FLEX Alumni Travel and Professional Development Grants
  • FLEX-Ability Workshops and Project Grants

Project and Travel Grants

The FLEX Alumni Grants Program assists past participants of the Future Leaders Exchange Program (FLEX) to contribute to the development of their countries and support their individual or group project or travel for professional development initiatives.

There are two grant applications available during the year:

  • Travel and Professional Development Grants - NOW OPEN until February 16, 2024
  • Individual or Group Project Grants - NOW OPEN until February 16, 2024

This is also the place to login to complete your project report after you have completed your project. We recommend you review the required report before your project is complete to determine the information you will need to submit. Ensure you select the appropriate report year.

FLEX Alumni Workshops

Each year American Councils for International Education organizes numerous alumni workshops funded by the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA).

These applications are available:

  • FLEX-Ability Workshop on Leadership 2024 - NOW OPEN
  • FLEX-Ability Workshop Project Grants - NOW CLOSED

Mentor and participant applications for the FLEX-Ability Workshop on Leadership 2024 are now open until January 31, 2024, at 11:59 pm! This workshop will take place in Warsaw, Poland, from May 9-12, 2024, and will cover topics of personal and professional leadership development! Alumni from or currently residing in Azerbaijan, Moldova, Poland, Romania, and Ukraine are eligible to apply.
