About FLEX

FLEX is a competitive, merit-based scholarship program. FLEX provides scholarships for high school students to spend an academic year in the United States living with a host family and attending an American high school.

The FLEX program is returning to Romania for the 2026-27 academic year. This has been made possible by a co-funding agreement wherein both the Department of States's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs and the Ministry of Education and Research of Romania are providing financial support for the FLEX program.
